STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and is His tool to teach us truth.  All that we say and do must align with scripture.  2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe in the Trinity: God the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit.  We believe they are one, yet three, and they existed before the creation of the world.  Matthew 3:16-17, John 1:1

We believe sin entered the world through the fall of man.  God is not responsible for the evil in our world.  Because sin exists, so do sickness, evil, and death.  Romans 5:12

We believe we can have fellowship with God here on Earth.  Later, we can be with Him in Heaven when we die because of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection.  If we turn from our sins and believe in Him, we will be saved.  1 John 1:9, Romans 5:8-11, Romans 10:9-10

We believe God LOVES us more than we could ever comprehend. John 3:16

We believe we are saved by grace and that this gift cannot be earned.  Ephesians 2:8-9

We believe the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us when we accept Christ as Savior and we are made new creations.  John 14:17, Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 2:20

We believe water baptism is an act of obedience and an outward sign of an inward change.  Matthew 28:19

We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.   We believe the gifts are to equip the body for service.   The gifts should never become our focus.  Christ is the focus. 1 Corinthians 12

We believe God is calling believers to come together in unity and to love Him and each other.  1 John 17:20-23, 1 Corinthians 1:10

We believe God desires to transform us more and more into his likeness through the reading of His word, prayer, worship, teaching, and fellowship.  Romans 12:1-2, Ephesians 4:20-23

We believe Heaven is the eternal home God prepared for those who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Hell is the eternal dwelling place for those who reject Jesus.  God does not choose Hell for an individual.  Each person chooses where he/she will spend eternity based on whether or not he/she accepts or rejects Jesus Christ.  Nobody is sent to Hell.  It is a choice.  John 14:1-3, Revelation 7:15-17, Revelation 20:10-15
